A typical Balinese mask, Jauk is played in the Calonarang and the Barong. And also in solo danses. Fully part of the Balinese tradition, he is represented in two ways : Jauk Keras (red mask) has the powerful character and Jauk Manis (white mask), has a much more refined and reserved personality. Jauk Keras is also the unique danse protagonist of the Tari dance wich is the typical warrior dance. Jauk Keras and
Telek are tightly entwined in the fighting danse announcing the big battle between
Barong Ket and
