Tumenggung is also called Andaga or Raden Djajaandaga and is a Babakan Topeng’s character. Andaga expresses himself in Javanese solo dances.
He is one of the fifth main characters of Babakan’s Topeng coming from Ciberon’s region. The area is composed of
Panji,
Pentul, Samba, Tumenggung,
Klana and
Rumyang. Most of the time five masks in a row make their appearance and this one is last but one. As Rumyang’s one, his dance is lively and fiery.
